Frequently asked questions about rope access and facades
What is rope access work?
It is a set of techniques for accessing and positioning at height, usually using ropes, which require proper equipment, training, work organisation and safety checks. Not every job can be done this way.
Does rope access always avoid putting up scaffolding?
No. The decision depends on the risk, duration, materials and ease of access. Suspended or tube scaffolding may be better for certain tasks.
How is a facade quote calculated?
We consider the surface area, the condition of the substrate, preparation, repair, coating, means of access, safety and any permits needed. A breakdown into line items is important.
Can you paint over a damp facade?
Not without first identifying the source and checking the conditions allowed by the paint system. Paint does not fix an active leak.
Why does a repair crack again?
There may be unresolved movement, damp, the wrong choice of mortar or poor preparation. Diagnosis must come before the finish.
What should I do if a piece of cornice falls off?
Keep people from walking underneath and inform those responsible for the building. If there is immediate danger, contact the relevant emergency services.
Can you work on old fibre-cement downpipes?
If asbestos may be present, specific handling is required under Royal Decree 396/2006 by authorised companies with the applicable plans. Build Ararat does not remove asbestos: in those cases we will guide you so that a company registered in the RERA with an approved work plan can carry out the job.
Do you work with homeowners' associations?
Yes. We regularly work with homeowners' associations and property managers. You can request a proposal by telling us the number of floors, sending photos and describing the scope you need.
Which towns do you work in?
Valencia city and nearby towns, within a radius of about 20 km. Availability is checked for each project. View service areas.
Is a quote via WhatsApp final?
Photos give us a first idea, but the final price may require a visit, measurements and safety checks.

Shall we talk about your building?
Tell us what's happening and where the property is and, if you can, attach photos. We'll tell you the next step.
